Cognitive Overload is a psychoacoustic installation that explores how auditory stimuli can shape perception by engaging the brain’s capacity for neural entrainment — the dynamic process through which internal neural rhythms synchronise with external temporal patterns.
Drawing on research in psychoacoustics, embodied perception and multisensory integration, the work investigates how experience emerges through the continuous interplay between attention, prediction and the nervous system’s adaptation to changing sensory conditions.
