As part of the WIP Festival 2026: FLOWS, the CYENS Open Day invites the public, industry professionals, and organisations to step inside the CYENS Centre of Excellence. Discover cutting-edge research, connect with the people behind the projects and explore exciting opportunities for collaboration and exchange.

Visitors can move freely between the Research Stations at the Akora Café, experience projects first hand, speak with researchers and discover the ideas, technologies and questions being explored across the Centre.

Whether you’re simply curious about the work happening at CYENS, looking for specific expertise, developing an idea, facing a challenge or interested in potential collaboration, the event provides an opportunity to connect directly with the people behind the research.

Research Speed Dating

As part of the Open Day, Research Speed Dating opens up conversations between CYENS research teams and individuals, professionals, companies and organisations interested in exploring potential connections.

Participants can introduce an idea, challenge or area of interest; discover relevant expertise and technologies within CYENS; and explore potential future exchange or collaboration.

Through discovery, interaction and connection, the CYENS Open Day takes research out of the laboratory, making it accessible, interactive and part of a shared live experience while creating new pathways between research, industry, organisations and the wider community.

Open to everyone.
